The Pelham Historical Society and Pelham Library COVID-19 Project
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has been worldwide and far-reaching. For many people, this may be the largest impacting event in their lifetime, much like the Great Depression, the two world wars, or even former pandemics have been for prior generations. Like all of these past events, the stories that get passed on become part of our collective history. They will provide insight and wisdom to future generations. Every person currently living, working, or playing in Pelham now has an experience and story, common with one another.
The Pelham Historical Society, along with the Pelham Library, is actively seeking to record people’s experiences, stories, and reflections about life in Pelham during COVID-19. Whether it’s just a simple anecdote or a long drawn-out tale, a photo essay, poetry, special piece of art you created, project you made with your children or a recipe book — WE WANT TO LEARN ABOUT IT!
All of the information and stories we collect are intended to be digitally archived, placed online, and used in a future display or exhibit.
Please fill out the form below. You may submit it online (https://pelhamhistory.org/covid-19-stories/) or you may pickup a copy at the Pelham Library and submit it by mail to The Pelham Historical Society – Box 2848 – Amherst MA 01004, or place it in the Pelham Library drop box. Contact the library at library.pelham@gmail.com or 413-253-0657 if you’d like to request a physical copy.
We encourage digital submissions. If your submission is a physical item or photograph and you don’t have the means to digitize it yourself please get in touch with us and we can assist you. We may contact you in the future and request the loan of your object for a display once it is safe to do so.
Thank you for sharing!
